So let's start off with the crappy: my knee started hurting something fierce at the end of the day (nothing new) and I lost my months old Razr (new and completely awful because expensive to replace). Damn. But that's not the important part.
We left SLC this morning at about 12:30 am (yes AM) and Matt drove us all the way to Jackson. It took us until 5:45 am and I was lucky enough to sleep for the most "exciting" hour. Apparently that involved patchy fog, a big mountain pass, and a near miss with a deer. Once we got here we pulled into a random parking lot to try and get some shut eye and managed to "sleep" for about an hour and a half. Then we went on the hunt for breakfast (settled on bagels from Albertsons) and headed to the resort.
Dropping the $99 for the lift ticket sucked, but it was a warm bluebird day and the snow was spectacular on the groomers. The moguls ranged from icy to odd to balls-to-the-wall fun, but my knee wasn't having much of that. For those that are interested, Corbet's was a no go for me because of physical maladies and snow conditions, but someday I shall conquer that beast.
We're definitely wiped and are currently chilling at the five-star establishment that is the Antler Inn, prepping to head out on the town to party like it's Spring Break (oddly enough it is). Having an absolute blast, hope everyone gets a chance to make some turns this weekend, and I'll try to keep a trip diary going so tune in.
Next up: Targhee and the partying aftermath.
