Skication Day 2: Targhee

Living the life. Two days, two different resorts, 4 states, very little sleep, and so very much fun.

Let's start off with the Jackson nightlife; even though the town was slow we had a blast. Hit up The Brewpub for dinner and had some good beer and delicious food, then walked over to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. That's definitely a tourist place, but tons of fun and PBR in glass bottles (super classy, no?) so it's a good time. Highlight of the night? Ripping my pants because I thought I could throw my leg over the saddle stool even though I was wearing tight jeans. So that was amusing. Good thing I was in a bar. . .

Daylight savings was a pain in the ass because we woke up at 8ish and it was actually 9ish so we tried to get ourselves together and hit the road. We hit the slopes at Targhee before noon (we're such winners) and ripped groomers all day. It was another sunny, warm day that included beer, good company, and skiing. Life doesn't get much better. After "lunch" (which was really just beer since we hit the slopes so late) the snow had softened up and I had some super fun mogul runs.

The apres scene at Targhee just doesn't really exist, and the on tap beer is kind of overpriced, but it was nice to listen to music and chillax. Then we had sandwiches, prepared by gourmet chef Jeremy, and hit the road to Bozeman. We got held up a bit when Matt decided to do his "civil duty" and clear the road of snow and got us stuck. Thanks to the awesome Minnesotans who helped dig us out; they sacrificed 30 minutes of their day to help out some poor ski bums and we are forever grateful. The rest of the drive was super uneventful and now we're sitting in my parent's house, enjoying some Blue Moons, and relaxing before we hit up Big Sky tomorrow.

Hope my knee holds up for the next few days. . .
